August was looking like a total bust, then what should drive by while I was pulling out of the library parking lot in beautiful downtown West Tisbury but Nebraska.
Moral of story: Good things happen when you go to the library.
Pickin’s are always slim in the last few months of the year, but I’m not giving up, and I’m keeping my eyes open. Also I’ve got a library book due tomorrow.

Good question, and you know, I’m not sure. I’ve only seen North Dakota twice in 30 years, and not recently, so it would have been one of those years. But there’s no guarantee I also spotted, say, Hawaii or Mississippi in a North Dakota year. I know where my old maps are going back 12 or 13 years, and some of the older ones have to be around here somewhere. Someday, when I’ve run out of procrastination options, I might have to go looking.
