Now Playing!

Hey, everyone who’s been following the roundabout story, the eagerly awaited Stop the Roundabout video debuted this evening on MVTV and is now available through MVTV’s Video on Demand service. It’s about 20 minutes long and stars Trip Barnes and one of Trip’s big trucks. Check it out!!

Trip belongs in the movies! Love his wicked sense of humour.

The woman who lives on the corner almost seems resigned to losing her beautiful tree. I sure hope it doesn’t come to that, but she said nobody listens to her. She’s the one who would be most affected by the roundabout and nobody listens to her? What’s wrong with this picture.

    • Sandra is a little tongue-in-cheeky. She’s not resigned to anything. 🙂 OTOH, the extent to which the public has not been listened to in this saga is eye-opening. Can’t say “astonishing” because I’m no longer astonished, but I’m surprised by how brazen they are about it. And the officials keep saying that no one comes to their public hearings. Yep: because they’re nearly all in the summer, when everyone’s too busy to think, and if you actually show up, you get ignored. The public comment period closes on Thursday (another meeting), then the matter goes to a smaller “land use planning committee” to be discussed. I am planning to go to the LUPC meeting(s) and scribble diligently like a good blogger. Maybe if they know they’re being watched, they will behave better.
