Trav and I were offered a place to train and practice off-leash. It’s pretty convenient and very secure. We tried it out Friday and I think it’s going to be great. Thanks so much to our benefactors. We get by with a little help from our friends and blog readers.

I see that your private training space is a tennis court. Well done and bravo! We have a neighborhood court near my house in MD and I took Fenway there as a puppy for some safe off leash romping. I use it now for Rally training just like you and Travy. I find the court lines very helpful for marking out turns, etc. and the nets are a good aid for practicing the straight back up 3 steps sign in AKC Rally. Tennis courts are GREAT! The pic is of the public tennis court (near the WT School) that we used for almost three years before Parks & Rec put up a NO DOGS sign in June. (The whole story: https://squattersspeakeasy.com/2012/06/16/no-dogs-no-no-no/) I went to a selectmen’s meeting at the end of June. They seemed sympathetic but claimed they can’t do anything, even though P&R couldn’t come up with a single good reason for kicking us off. We had access to another place but that ended in November. The new place is a private single court, solidly fenced, not in good shape for tennis but it’s perfect for us.
